Homoeopathy seeks to “cure through similarity”. During the production of homeopathic medicines, the basic substances undergo a “potentisation” procedure, which means they are diluted repeatedly.

This alternative medical treatment method dates back to German doctor Samuel Hahnemann who started publishing his ideas in 1796. Homeopathic medicine can be used to support a variety of dental therapies.

Areas of application of homeopathy in dentistry include:

  • Amalgam drainage
  • Improving wound healing and bone regeneration
  • Wound healing disorders and scar pain
  • Reversible irritation and pain of the dental nerve
  • Fear of the dentist
  • Tooth eruption problems
